TWIN RIDGE KENNEL has been raising quality Aussies since 1981.   Our toys &  minis have the conformation & looks of the Standard Australian  Shepherd.   We take  pride in the fact that they are born in the house & live with us until they  go to their new families.  We only raise 2 or 3 litters a year in order to  give each puppy the special attention they need to begin their lives.   

We are a natural ranch rearing our animals holistically and on a raw food diet. We work hard at rearing our puppies naturally. I am certified in raw food diet and holistic care for pets. We raise our Aussies inside our home and they are loved deeply. Raised naturally with health and temperament our top concern!

Breeding, selling, & showing quality Mini Australian Cattle Dogs in north Louisiana since 2012. We also have a few Standard Australian Cattle Dogs. Our goal is to produce an exact replica of the Standard Australian Cattle Dog in a smaller package. Our dogs range from 12” to 18”. We are a small, in-home program to allow for maximum socialization to every pup. Our dogs are raised on 6 acres rural farm land which allows plenty of room to enjoy romping around and running through our trails. We focus on the 14"-17" size variety here though smaller and larger sizes occur do to the variance in genetics. All of our dogs are registered through ASDR (American Stock Dog Registry) some are dual registered with AKC as Australian Shepherds and we have recently been making the switch to dual registering our dogs with AKC as Miniature American Shepherds. We did this to allow for more opportunity for our dogs to be shown locally rather than having to travel far. We are driven to educate and share this amazing breed to the public. In doing so, lots of research has been done to keep up on the latest findings such as genetic health testing, color testing, bloodlines, nutrition etc. We enjoy sharing our dogs with others and creating lasting friendships along the way.

All dogs come loved by our family. From birth until they are ready for their new homes, their health is our number one priority. With this is mind our home is closed to the public. We do not accept people into our home due to various reasons. First and foremost, our family’s safety both two and four legged are our upmost concern. Second, we cannot put any of our unborn or unvaccinated pups at risk to exposure of parvo and other communicable diseases from outside sources. With this day and age, unfortunately we have to take precautions for the safety and wellbeing of our home, family and the future of our program. We are happy to meet at our local vet clinic to better know you and for you to feel more comfortable with our program.

All our pups are raised in our home and loved on daily by our family. When ready (at least eight weeks), they are up to date on vaccinations, on a strict deworming schedule, come microchipped, and receive a thorough exam from our veterinarian. They are also backed with a one year genetic health guarantee and come with 30 days free insurance through Trupanion. All pups are started on Nutrisource Small and Medium Puppy Food. We are a small farm located in Southeastern Missouri. These puppies are raised in our home and well loved! Our dogs are health tested as well!

Raising loving puppies in our home. We focus on raising pups that are affectionate, playful and know how to be calm. We train them from an early age to be resilient and confident. This breed is so amazingly trainable! Our dogs have free rein of our house and know which rooms they are and are not allowed in without the need for baby gates or barriers! They get controlled exposure to children, chickens, dogs and farm life in general. Our dogs were chosen for temperament and health and they have not disappointed! Our puppies go home with a health guarantee. We will always be here for them and their families to help support their transition, training and future security.

Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are "home raised" on our farm to be wonderful, socialized dogs for
pet and working. We have solid and merle colors with many of them being blue eyed! We also produce RED blue eyed tris! 
All of our dogs show great loyalty, and are extremely smart. Our adults all have excellent temperaments
and are used to children.  I breed typically two to three litters a year striving for temperament, 
conformation and personality. Puppies are from fully health tested adults.

We have been raising the smaller Aussies since 2015 on a small scale on our farm, they are amazing family companions and are so versatile. We have placed pups in various types of homes including farms, performance homes, active pets, therapy potential, even apartments with plans to be active daily. They are awesome dogs. We do full genetic testing panels as well as OFA’s on our adults. I have shown a few of them in conformation thru ASDR and IABCA and hope to start showing again in the future. Our dogs range from 12.5”-18”, the pups are usually 14-18” range with some being larger occasionally, 20-50 lbs. we strive for temperaments, health, conformation, and look to raise lower-medium energy and thicker builds. We do have a variety of all colors but tend to have blue Merle and black tri/bis most often.

Our tiny kennel is based out of Canton, NC. We began with one goal: to breed beautiful, sound, well-conformed Australian Shepherds. Using DNA testing and veterinary health certifications, we plan each of our litters for years in advance.

Our foundation stock are based in both AKC champion show lines and working lines from sheep farms in northeastern Pennsylvania and central Florida.

At Aussies for Keeps we believe in keeping ALL of the AUSSIE, including the tails and dewclaws. Aussies for Keeps is striving to breed high quality MINI Australian Shepherds/American Shepherds and providing them with the best start possible. This means starting with high quality studs with Excellent genetics and temperament. Then providing a good environment, vet care and diet to the dam and pups once born. Pups are then put thru the super dog program ENS & ESI, along with exposures to scents, sounds and activities while being raised in the home.
