General performance rules

 

Set ups must be at least 15 ft from course.

No standing close to the ring, or leaning on fence.

Only the dog competing may be loose. 

People are encouraged to watch and to clap when the run is over, but should be quiet while dogs are competing and not distract the competitors.

You will be warned once for a disruptive (barking dog), if not quieted the dog will be dismissed from the competition.

Do not leave dogs unattended on showgrounds, make sure someone is watching them or take them with you.

Please be aware of run order and be on time. 

Females in heat may run, but must wear panties and run last in order.

No alcoholic beverages consumed while show is in progress.

Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated and will be subject to Dismissal from show.

 

ASDR Rally Obedience Program

Dog must be registered with ASDR

Must have two qualifying scores per level to earn Level I, Level II, Elite, Elite Silver, Elite Gold, Elite Grand

Dogs are allowed one trial after completing a level before moving up to the next level.  They will only get placement points no bonus points.

Once a dog moves up, they cannot go back.   

Should a handler determine that the dog cannot go further, they will be allowed to continue competing, but will get a total of 10 points with a qualifying score, no bonus points.  

 

LEVEL I

Dogs must be 4 months of age to participate. 

Will be on leash, flat buckle collar only.

The dog may perform Off Leash,and will receive extra credit (5 pts) for doing so.

No treats or toys allowed during competition

Must have a minimum of 10 signs to complete with a max of 15

No touching of the dog while on course

You may only command the dog max of 3 times and must move on.

You must attempt all signs

Not following the course will result a disqualifying score

Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

Qualifying score 80-100

Judges decisions are FINAL.  In the event of a tie, the fastest time will decide winner.

There will be a walk through prior to the competition WITHOUT YOUR DOG and questions may be asked at that time.  Courses will be available at that time.

 

LEVEL II

Dog must have competed Level I

Will be on leash, flat buckle collar only.

The dog may perform Off Leash,and will receive extra credit (5 pts) for doing so.

No treats or toys allowed during competition

Must have a minimum of 15 signs to complete with a max of 20

No touching dog while on course

You may only command the dog max of 2 times and must move on.

You must attempt all signs

Not following the course will result a disqualifying score

Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

Qualifying score 85-100

Judges decisions are FINAL.  In the event of a tie, the fastest time will decide winner.

There will be a walk through prior to the competition WITHOUT YOUR DOG and questions may be asked at that time.  Courses will be available at that time.

 

ELITE

Dog must have completed Level I and Level II

There will be a walk-through WITHOUT dog prior to class start

The dog may perform Off Leash,and will receive extra credit (5 pts) for doing so.

If on leash, flat buckle collar only, which may be left on if off leash.

Must have a minimum of 16 signs but not more than 24

Course will contain one jump

Course will contain a minimum of two advanced signs

No treats or toys allowed during course

No touching dog once you are at the start sign until pattern complete

You can command dog two times before required to move on to next sign

You must attempt all signs

Not following sequence of course will result in a DQ

Losing control of dog will result in DQ

Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

Extra credit points(5) available.  Maybe used for off lead dog and/or a bonus station.

Qualifying score 90-100

In the event of a tie in score, the fastest time places higher

Judges decisions are final

 

 SILVER ELITE RALLY

Dog must have completed Level I, II and Elite

There will be a walk-through WITHOUT dog prior to class start

The dog must perform Off Leash.

Must have a minimum of 16 signs but not more than 24

Course will contain one jump

Course will contain a minimum of four advanced signs

Must have a minimum of 16 signs but not more than 26

Course will contain one jump

Course will contain a minimum of six advanced signs

One bonus (5 pts) sign of judges choice will be available within course

No treats or toys allowed during course

No touching dog once you are at the start sign until pattern complete

You can command dog two times before required to move on to next sign

You must attempt all signs

Not following sequence of course will result in a DQ

Losing control of dog will result in DQ

Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

Qualifying score 96-100

In the event of a tie in score, the fastest time places higher

ASDR AGILITY PROGRAM           

Dog must be registered with ASDR

There will be a beginner class still allowed with the dogs onlead, however they puppies must be 6 months old to participate, and between 6-12 months they can not jump.  The courses will be modified for puppies.    Also Level 1 for title and the beginner course will be the same course with dogs competing for a title must compete off lead.   Jumps must be raised and lowered as needed ( Jump height is 2 inches lower than dog height)

Must have two qualifying scores per level to earn Level I, Level II, Elite, Elite Silver, Elite Gold, Elite Grand

Level I

                Dog must be 12 months old

                Off Leash for title,  may run in a flat buckle collar or no collar.  For beginner-no choke collars, slip leads of any kind.                                                                                                                           

                No treats or toys allow during competition

                Must be a minimum of 10 obstacles. If space available max number of obstacles will be 16

                No Weave Poles required, but may be available for extra credit.

                Allowed one refusal to an obstacle

                Allowed 2 missed contacts

                Dogs 10-14” tall jump a max height of 12”

                Dogs 14-18” tall jump a max height of 16”

                Dogs 18+” tall jump a max height of 18”

                Veteran Dog height jumps will be lowered by min of 4” accordingly

                Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

                Qualifying Score 80-100

Judges decisions are FINAL.  In the event of a tie, fastest time will decide winner.

 

Level II

Dog must be 12 months old and has completed Level 1

                Off Leash, flat collar, or no collar (absolutely no choke collars of any kind)

                No treats or toys allowed during competition

                Must be a minimum of 10 obstacles. If space available max number of obstacles will be 16

                No refusals to any obstacle

                Allowed 1 missed contact

                Obstacles must include teeter and weave poles

                Dogs 10-14” tall jump a max height of 12”

                Dogs 14-18” tall jump a max height of 16”

                Dogs 18+” tall jump a max height of 18”

                Veteran Dog height jumps will be lowered by min of 4” accordingly

                Eliminating in the ring is cause for immediate dismissal and DQ.

                Qualifying Score 85-100

ELITE

Dogs must be 12 months old and have completed Level II

Walk-through prior to start of class

Off Leash, flat collar or no Collar

No toys or treats on course

Obstacles may include teeter, 1 or more tunnels, 12 weave pole (set as two separate obstacles as 6 weaves or one obstacle as 12 weaves) 

Minimum of 14 obstacles with a maximum of 18 obstacles

Allowed 1 missed contact

Not following course sequence is a NQ

Loss of control of dog is a NQ

Down jump bar is a NQ

Refusal is a NQ - refusal defined as "dog has four paws on obstacles and stops forward motion.  Ex: enters tunnnel and comes out of tunnel at the same end dog entered, starts up the dog walk and turns around and comes down or jumps off, starts up A-frame and turns around and comes down or jumps off, enters weave pole on incorrect side)

Jump Heights

Dog 10-14" tall max height of 12"

Dog 14-18" tall max height of 16"

Dog 18"tall max height 18"  

Veteran dogs may lower jump heights 4"

Qualifying score is 90-100

In the event of a tie in points the faster time places higher

 

Judges decisions are FINAL.  In the event of a tie, fastest time will decide winner.

There will be a walk through before competition begins without dog.  Courses will be available at that time.

 

Herding

In the future we plan to add trials to our shows, but in the meantime we will continue with the required Herding Instinct Tests. 

HIC points (25, 15, 10) will be distributed as follows.  All dogs with a high instinct will get 25 points, medium will receive 15 points, and all others during 2017 will receive 10 points.  Judge will award a prize only for the junior and adult competitor dogs.  No extra points.
